History of Char Dham Yatra
The Char Dham Yatra holds great religious importance in Hindu tradition. The sacred temples of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath are located in the Himalayan region of Uttarakhand and are considered highly spiritual pilgrimage destinations.
According to Hindu beliefs, completing the Char Dham pilgrimage helps devotees attain spiritual purification and divine blessings. The pilgrimage gained popularity when Adi Shankaracharya revived these temples and established them as major spiritual centers.
Every year thousands of pilgrims travel to the Himalayas seeking devotion, peace, and divine blessings through this sacred journey.
